About the AD

Adventure Dispatch is an outdoor adventure and storytelling platform built around movement — miles covered, systems tested, and lessons learned along the way.

Field-Driven Stories

Trips, mistakes, wins, and lessons pulled straight from the trail, road, and camp — not recycled advice.

Systems, Not Stuff

Gear is only useful when it works together. We focus on complete setups, not endless product lists.

Visual Storytelling

Photography and video aren’t accessories here — they’re tools for seeing the landscape more clearly and sharing it honestly.

Environmental Awareness

Getting outside comes with responsibility. We aim to promote thoughtful, low-impact practices through example, not preaching.

Why The Adventure Dispatch Exists

The Adventure Dispatch started as a place to document personal trips, gear experiments, photography lessons, and the inevitable failures that come with learning by doing.

Over time, it became clear that sharing real experiences — not just polished highlights — could help others get outside with more confidence and fewer mistakes.

Nothing changes if nothing changes. The AD exists to make it easier to take that first step, refine your setup, and keep going back out.

Our Team

Who’s Behind The AD

Hi, I’m Nick

The Adventure Dispatch is built and maintained by one person spending a lot of time outside — car camping, backpacking, overlanding, fishing, and photographing the places that make it all worthwhile.

Occasionally, collaborators, brands, and friends contribute — but the voice, testing, and perspective remain personal and firsthand.

SOME INSIGHTS

Mission & Perspective

Mission

The Adventure Dispatch exists to share real experiences from time spent outside — the wins, the failures, the learning curve, and everything in between.

This started as a place to document personal adventures and gradually became something bigger: a living archive of field-tested knowledge. Gear that’s actually been used. Systems that have been refined over time. Lessons earned the hard way so others can skip unnecessary mistakes and get out faster.

We believe good information lowers the barrier to entry, builds confidence, and helps people spend more meaningful time outdoors — whether that’s car camping for a weekend, backpacking for the first time, or building a rig meant to disappear down dirt roads.

Perspective

More people than ever are heading outside in search of freedom, clarity, and connection — and that’s a good thing.

With that growth comes responsibility. Every trip leaves an impact, whether social, environmental, or commercial. The goal isn’t perfection — it’s awareness. Sharing honest experiences helps set better expectations, encourages smarter decisions, and promotes a more thoughtful relationship with wild places.

Adventure Dispatch isn’t about chasing trends or selling gear for the sake of it. It’s about promoting intentional travel, practical education, and a deeper respect for the environments that make these experiences possible.

Nothing changes if nothing changes — and this is our way of contributing to that shift.
